The early Church caught on to that. They knew the value of community - not just the larger community but small networks of people who helped one another. The Mission Board of Kitchener Community Church felt a strong impulse by the Spirit in April 2010 to launch four thrusts as necessary to shaping our faith community, those being Celebration, Stewardship, Discipleship and Small Groups (now referred to as Life Groups). Celebration and Stewardship have been active nearly from the beginning in varying forms. We are getting closer to Discipleship and will achieve that as Stewardship continues to take shape. We are excited to announce the launch of Life Groups (!) with this sermon series that begins April 15th. We introduce "W5"in the first sermon with a Biblical framework for this direction at KCC. Then the following four sermons will highlight the non-negotiable themes that should be evident in all small groups at Kitchener Community Church. Join us as we partner together in this exciting and wonderful opportunity God gives us to experience "family" and "community" on a whole new level! Above all, please pray for this venture. It is so critically important for people to get connected in an intimate and caring LIFE group. Schedules and demands on our time are becoming so increasingly prevalent but this venture will be a very important means of not losing track of our "family members"! |

There's nothing more delightful than getting together with family or friends, enjoying good food and just catching up and being in the moment. The pressures of the day or the problems we're facing seem, for a few moments, to dissolve as almost non-existent. They are still there of course, but the connection with people we value helps put things in perspective and, even if just for a few moments, the challenges are shelved and have little control of us as we escape and refocus.
