We only have to be awake for about an hour with total exposure to what’s happening in our world, to realize that things are becoming weird and wacky all around us. With all of the latest technology, our world has become much smaller and we are made aware quickly of not only the practices down the street, but around the globe.
Without looking too far outside our own door, we see how easy it is to get shuffled in line with the thinking and teaching of this world. Jesus saw it, even in His day, and addressed it with His disciples. We invite you to pause during the lazy, hazy days of summer and journey with us, as we learn together ‘how to live a blessed life…in a bizarre world’. Don’t let this world’s principles and practices become yours! Sit with the disciples and listen to what God whispers into your heart. He calls us to be different – to think differently, to teach differently, to talk differently. May the teaching of God’s Word be fresh and revitalizing in your life today as you soak in the message God has for you. Hear the Beatitudes – from an old familiar translation or a new. Be blessed!
