Community Care Ministries

Community Care Ministries [CCM] is an expression of love in the best tradition of The Salvation Army's service. It truly does reflect our ideal of giving "heart to God and hand to man".

The Salvation Army CCM exist to provide spiritual and social ministry to the needy in the name of Jesus Christ and to be a transforming influence in the community.

CCM Members will:

• provide practical help to the needy whenever possible,
• visit hospitals, nursing homes, prisons, private homes and residential care centres,
• meet community needs as situations arise,
• bring encouragement to those who already know Jesus Christ as Lord and Saviour,
• so demonstrate the love of Christ in the way their ministry is carried out, that those who do not know Him may be drawn to seek salvation, thereby having the greatest need of humility fulfilled,
• when appropriate, CCM members should share their Christian faith and offer prayer.
